The extraordinary growth in need has pushed us to become a large year-round outdoor operation, yet we have retained the feeling of a small, vibrant volunteer community that works together to be sure that no one is worrying about food or foregoing food for other expenses.

No Child Hungry Summer Fundraiser

During the summer children need healthy food to help them thrive and grow. More than half the families served at Centre Street reported that their children did not receive subsidized meals in the summer, while the other half who brought their children to an approved meals site said they came home and were still hungry.

All summer long we’ll be giving out an extra bag to families with children that includes whole and chocolate milk, sandwich rolls, deli meats, sliced cheese, fresh fruit and yogurt. Everything for a hearty lunch! We need to buy this fresh food and are grateful that an anonymous donor has offered to match every donation received by June 30th up to $50,000!
