Peylina Chu
Peylina Chu joined the Centre Street Food Pantry Board in January 2026 and serves as a member of the Marketing & Fundraising and Governance committees. She began volunteering at CSFP in early 2025, packing bags, filling orders, and checking in clients. She was so impressed with the leadership team’s dedication to the mission of providing consistent access to healthy food with dignity that she wanted to get more involved as a way to give back to her community.
Peylina brings over 35 years of experience as an environmental and sustainability consultant, most recently as Senior Vice President, ESG Business Strategy at Antea Group, a global EHS (environment, health, safety) and sustainability consulting firm. There, she partnered with global companies to integrate sustainability and EHS into their business operations, reducing risk and delivering business value. Peylina recently retired but still continues consulting for selected companies, academic institutions, and industry groups on sustainability strategies and tactics.
Peylina holds a BS in Chemical Engineering from Texas A&M and an MS in Chemical Engineering from the University of California, Berkeley. She and her husband have lived in Newton since 1992 where they raised their daughter and son. In her free time, she enjoys traveling, cooking, and eating.
