Centre Street Food Pantry provides families in Newton and eight surrounding communities with consistent access to nutritious food in a dignified, sensitive and inclusive environment. Since the start of the pandemic, we've seen an unprecedented number of shoppers at our doorstep.

We are now serving 2X more households and 3X more people than before the pandemic
Each month, we provide food to 1,000 families representing 3,000 people
This past year we've provided 800,000 pounds of fresh produce, meat, cheese, bread, pantry staples and personal hygiene products to our neighbors in need

What You'll Work on

A dynamic organization like CSFP needs guidance in various technical areas to operate efficiently. We seek a Board Member who is willing to evaluate and customize solutions for our needs. Our focus areas include: client management and intake, data analysis, streamlining shopper food choice, configuration of volunteer management systems and productivity tools, and web site work. We would like to stay organized and keep up with the growing needs of our client base and our operation with the latest tools for nonprofits.

Desired skills and experience
We are searching for a motivated individual who is able to spearhead tech projects that volunteers would work on, while also helping to maintain our ongoing technology needs.

Ideal candidates will have experience with at least 2 of the following:

Database management and data cleaning
Google Workspace account, Drive, and Voice management
Web site development or maintenance
Salesforce customization
A willingness to do configuration and customization of software for our needs

Time Commitment
10-15 hours per month. Each board term is 3 years with an option to serve 2 terms.
