Empty Bowls is a national grassroots effort to fight hunger. The mission of Lasell's Empty Bowls club is to raise awareness of food insecurity by hosting our sixth annual Empty Bowls fundraising dinner where guests donate to the Centre Street Food Pantry, choose a one-of-a-kind handmade ceramic bowl, enjoy a simple meal of soup and bread, live music, raffle prizes and more. 

 

At our online auction in 2021, we raised over $2,500. In the past two years, we have planned two successful food drives on campus where we collected hundreds of items for donation. Our club members have been working together throughout the entire academic year to make each ceramic bowl and to plan the event. It is our hope to raise awareness of food insecurity in our Newton community and to fight hunger one bowl at a time.
